Request or Register for a Classroom Training

Healthy Relationships Classroom Training

The Healthy Relationships trainings are typically conducted over a four-day period.

Group facilitators (or any staff) who will facilitate the Healthy Relationships sessions at an agency or organization are required to attend the Healthy Relationships classroom training.

Program Coordinators who provide oversight or supervision to the Group Facilitators and Program Managers are encouraged to attend the Healthy Relationships classroom training.

Upon completion of the classroom training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the theoretical framework supporting Healthy relationships.
  • Describe the Healthy Relationships core elements.
  • Dose effective communication and facilitation skills for Healthy Relationships implementation.
  • Use culturally specific session enhancements with Healthy Relationships.

Participants are encouraged to obtain and review the Healthy Relationships Starter Kit prior to the training. This kit provides planning information that agencies and organizations will need to prepare for the implementation of the intervention.

How to request a training

If you are a health department, clinic or community-based organization funded by CDC to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please submit a training request through the CDC Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Tracking System (CTS). If CDC does not fund your agency to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please contact your state health department so that they can submit a request for training on your behalf.
