Request or Register for a Classroom Training

ConnectHIP

ConnectHIP classroom trainings are typically conducted over a three-day period and have a class size of 10-18 participants.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Describe the logical flow of ConnectHIP and its objectives.
  • Describe the six core elements of ConnectHIP and their connection to HIV/STD prevention with MSM, transgender, and heterosexual couples.
  • Identify and demonstrate basic cultural competency to engage diverse couples using at least three techniques that are useful in facilitating a couples-based intervention.
  • Be familiar with and demonstrate skill in the use of educational and modeling videos.

How to request a training

If you are a health department, clinic or community-based organization funded by CDC to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please submit a training request through the CDC Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Tracking System (CTS). If CDC does not fund your agency to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please contact your state health department so that they can submit a request for training on your behalf.
