Request or Register for a Classroom Training

Personalized Cognitive Counseling Classroom Training

This 2.5-day training is intended for frontline staff who will conduct Personalized Cognitive Counseling (PCC) with clients and have the following experience:

  • Training as an HIV antibody test counselor.
  • At least one year of experience as an HIV test counselor.
  • Training and experience in a helping field (psychology, social work, counseling).
  • Cultural competence and knowledge about MSM.
  • Comfort with using everyday language to discuss sex.
  • Familiarity with issues pertaining to substance use.
  • Knowledge of community resources to make referrals.

How to request a training

If you are a health department, clinic or community-based organization funded by CDC to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please submit a training request through the CDC Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Tracking System (CTS). If CDC does not fund your agency to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please contact your state health department so that they can submit a request for training on your behalf.
