Partner Services Online Trainings

The Passport to Partners Services training provided by the DISTCs (Disease Intervention Services Training Centers) is designed to enhance Partner Services efforts related to disease intervention specialists (DIS), Nursing, and Public Health Specialists’ roles and responsibilities. See Passport Tracks A, B, C, and D below for information on how to access online trainings related to partner services.

Passport Track A

Single online module
Audience: Medical/Referring Providers Who Refer Patients to Partner Services:
(Free CME, CHES, CNE credits available)
Registration: New users access (dedicated website for this module only)

Passport Tracks B, C, and D

Multiple online modules plus 3 or 5-day instructor led course
Audience: New Partner Services Providers


  1. Go to and select "Register Now"
  2. Select the combined online PLUS classroom training option.
  3. Click the button to indicate that you need a Course ID.
  4. Submit the course interest form.

Your DISTC will contact you and match you to a training track and specific classroom training date/location. Supervisors can also initiate registration for multiple trainees.

For tracks B, C, and D you may also call your regional DISTC to initiate registration.

Track B: Partner Elicitation and/or Notification primarily for HIV
13 sequenced online modules + 3-day classroom training

Track C: Partner Elicitation and/or Notification and Referral for
Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, HIV, and Syphilis (excluding case management and VCA)
13 sequenced online modules + 3-day classroom training

Track D: Partner Elicitation and/or Notification and Referral for All
Diseases, Including Syphilis Case Management and Visual Case
Analysis (VCA).
14 sequenced online modules (+ optional LOT system)
+5-day classroom training

Passport Individual Course Option

Browse all of the available online modules
Audience: Veteran Partner Services Providers wanting refresher training, or those interested primarily in the Disease Concepts content, formerly known as CDC’s Employee Development Guide (EDG).
