Sin Buscar Excusas/No Excuses Classroom Training

Sin Buscar Excusas/No Excuses is a video-based behavioral intervention that aims to increase sexual safety and HIV testing and care among Hispanic/Latino gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM).

After the completion of this training, participants will have the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively implement Sin Buscar Excusas/No Excuses. Participants will be able to:

  • Use videos to generate group discussion about barriers to sexual safety and HIV and strategies for overcoming them.
  • Demonstrate facilitation skills needed for leading discussion and skills-building on strategies related to sexual safety and HIV testing, as well as other high impact prevention (HIP) topics such as linking to care, staying in care, using PrEP/PEP, and adhering to HIV medication.

How to request a training

If you are a health department, clinic or community-based organization funded by CDC to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please submit a training request through the CDC Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Tracking System (CTS). If CDC does not fund your agency to implement an evidence-based intervention or public health strategy, please contact your state health department so that they can submit a request for training on your behalf.
